Best of you

50. "The best of you during the 'Period of Ignorance' are the best of you in Islam as long as they deeply understand the religion." [Bukhâri]

Quotes to remember

23. ‘Ali ibn Zaid mentioned, “A man of the Quraysh spoke harshly to the Caliph `Umar Ibn ‘Abdul ‘Aziz who remained silent for a long time and then said, “You wish that the devil rouses in me the pride of the Caliphate and I treat you so rudely that you can take revenge tomorrow (in the Afterlife) on me.”

Salafs sayings

Abu ad-Dardaa narrated [Saheeh Muslim, No.6588]: The Messenger of Allaah said: «No believing servant supplicates for his brother behind his back (in his absence), except that the Angels say: "The same be for you too".»
al-Imaam an-Nawawee comments [Riyaadh as-Saaliheen #1494]: This hadeeth makes it evident that one who prays for someone in his absence also stands to benefit from it because the angel appointed for the task of praying for those who pray for others will pray for him, saying, "O Allaah! Grant him also the same which he has asked for others".

The Different Methods Used in Da'wah is A Blessing

Question:

Some callers increase the awareness of their audience by educating them; others may just remind them of good or stir up their feelings with emotional speech. Which of the two techniques is more effective?
Answer:

I see that this is a favour that Allaah Almighty has given to the servants. He has made them different in the means and methods they use to call to him. Allaah Almighty has endowed the preacher with graceful, elegant and moving speech. Therefore, he is better off giving sermons. Another may have endowed with knowledge, but not with speaking power; he should educate the people.
Allaah's favours are distributed among His servants, and He has raised the rank of some over others. This is why I feel that a person should use that method which he deems to be useful and most suitable to him, without embarking upon something that he is incapable of performing, but instead make himself firm in seeking the aid of Allaah Almighty such that He grant him sincerity.
