Seeking blessings for the house through sacrificing

Question:

Esteemed shaykh, some people perform a sacrifice on the doorstep when they build a new house, seeking blessing (by doing this) and seeking to repel the Evil Eye - and this person does not know that this is a sacrifice for other than Allaah which constitutes shirk. So has this person committed disbelief (kufr)?
Answer:

This person should be ordered to repent, and it is said to him: This is shirk so you must repent to Allaah! This is because the person who commits shirk is (by doing this shirk) a mushrik.
