"Sayidu Al Istighfar" Best Dua for Forgivness
Sahih Al-Bukhari - Volume 8, Book 75, Number 318:
Narrated Shaddad bin Aus:
The Prophet said "The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is: 'Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa anta, Anta Khalaqtani wa ana abduka, wa ana 'ala ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'tu, A'udhu bika min Sharri ma sana'tu, abu'u Laka bini'matika 'alaiya, wa Abu Laka bidhanbi faghfirli innahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta." The Prophet added. "If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise."
O Allah! You are my Lord. There is no God except You
Al-Lahumma 'Anta Rabbī Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā 'Anta
You created me and I am Your slave.
Khalaqtanī Wa 'Anā `Abduka
To the best of my ability I will abide by my covenant and pledge to You
Wa 'Anā `Alaá `Ahdika Wa Wa`dika Mā Astaţa`tu
I seek Your protection from the evil of my own creation.
'A`ūdhu Bika MinSharri Mā Şana`tu
I acknowledge Your favors to me and I admit my sins.
'Abū'u Laka Bini`matika `Alayya Wa 'Abū'u Laka Bidhanbī
So please forgive me for no one can forgive sins except You.
Fāghfir Lī 'Innahu Lā Yaghfiru Adh-Dhunūba 'Illā 'Anta
