Ruling of making supplications inside Salah (in prostration and before taslīm) according to the Hanbalī and Hanafī Madhāhib
The Hanābilah hold that supplications should be made from what is strictly narrated in the Kitāb & Sunnah and to focus on needs that are not worldly.
The Hanafī’s also hold this position however, they permit supplicating with any dua that is narrated be it for worldly matters or not. As long as it is from the texts is what matters.
It is also not recommended in the Madhab to not make prolonged dua if one is leading an obligatory prayer, if one is praying alone then it is permissible. ...
